Charlie Stanley started his technology career in 1997 working in a local Portland computer and software store called Cyber Exchange. Charlie later became Cyber Exchange’s Store Manager and eventually coordinated the move and re-branding of Cyber Exchange to MPH Computing in 2000. When MPH Computing closed its retail doors in 2002, Robert Rolfe recruited Charlie to come work at We Host Webpages. Here he worked with Rob to build the Web Hosting division which was later re-branded to Weberz Hosting.
Charlie later took leave from Weberz in 2004 and went to work in wireless telecommunications at AT&T Wireless. At AT&T, he oversaw operations of Receivables Management and Payment Fraud before accepting a position in the office of the Chairman at AT&T where he worked resolving legal, government and regulatory escalations.
In 2006, Charlie returned to Weberz and took the position of Sales & Operations Manager. During this time, Charlie also founded Fierce Thought, an Internet Consulting and Web Design firm. Fierce Thought is currently a reseller of Weberz Hosting services.
Charlie also spends time giving back to the communities in which Weberz and Fierce Thought do business. Charlie has served on the Board of Directors of the Midway Business Association and the Hazelwood Neighborhood Association. Charlie also spends time each summer working with highly skilled youth, mentoring them in website design at an annual summer camp in Gresham, Oregon called Education Soaring.
In addition this this, Charlie spends a great deal of time working with the Rock Bottom Foundation each year to coordinate and host The Rose City Miracle, an event that works to provide a phenomenal Christmas experience to homeless and displaced families in Portland, Oregon each year.
Along with Charlie’s extensive technology experience, he has held sales and management positions with OfficeMax, Blockbuster, Gap, Safeway and Rock Bottom. When not in front of a computer, Charlie enjoys spending time with his nephew, snowboarding, paintball and disappearing to Las Vegas to get some sunshine every now and then.
