On October 10th of last year we sent out a service announcement where we had mentioned a possible new data center for Weberz. Today I am pleased to announce that this is in progress. The final contracts for the data center were signed earlier this afternoon that wrapped up the final details of the new facility.
Our parent company General Pacific decided over a year ago to build a new facility for it’s electrical distribution services. After many meetings with lawyers and the like, they were able to secure a property in Fairview, Oregon for the new facility. During this time I had many meetings with upper management and we decided to take a look at the possibility of adding on to that new facility a data center for the Weberz Hosting division. As it turned out, it was not only feasible but also financially smart to do so. (…)
Here’s a little nuance from H-Sphere that we just found out about, domain aliases now use one of the “included” domains in the users plan. We had trouble tickets come over from some new customers over the last few days who were having a problem getting all of their domain aliases assigned to a domain. Mainly due to the fact that the system wanted to charge them for these domain aliases. (…)
Over the past few months we have been doing large amounts of research on Virtualization and different software packages used to virtualize servers. For those of you that don’t know, Virtualization is a method of taking multiple computer instances and running them on one physical machine. The idea is ideal for helping to consume less energy, take advantage of unused hardware and save space used by computers. (…)

A few changes were made to our website today. All of these changes were fixes for cross browser compatibility for Safari and Google Chrome. If anyone finds any more bugs in the site, please contact us and let us know of the problems.
Over the past 24 hours we have had many support requests inquiring about order confirmations that users have been receiving in their inboxes. These order confirmations are copies of invoices that were generated by H-Sphere when your hosting plans were updated. (…)
Today we have launched a new version of our website with all new plans and features. We have also added a new off network site at http://www.weberzsupport.com that contains all of our support information as well as our server outage notifications. This will allow users to have a central place to go when looking for server outage information.
