People often ask our support representatives what the best solution is for uploading files to their website. Over the years the staff at Weberz have tried various FTP clients with varying levels of success. After discovering FileZilla we quickly rolled it out to all of our staff members.
FileZilla is an open source and is platform independent so it’s available on Windows, OS X and Linux. You can find it at filezilla-project.org. It supports both the FTP and SFTP protocols. The team behind FileZilla is also very active so updates and bugfixes are delivered on a regular basis.

Over the past few months one of our reseller web hosting customers has been having an issue with some of his sites being modified without his consent. All of the sites that the reseller was having a problem with were using the Build A Niche Store, Bans, e-commerce web script. After some investigation we found that an exploit had been reported on this web script that allowed malicious users to automatically login to the admin section of any BANS installation using a specific username and password.…

As for 2008, well.. it’s over. It was a good but flat year for Weberz. It was good because everything we did was positive for the company and user base. We replaced part of our technical support team with new individuals and we merged our two brands Relio and Weberz into a single entity.
