Weberz community user forum has been taken offline

Posted Tuesday, May 25, 2010 by

For the past few years Weberz has provided a user forum, located at http://www.weberzforum.com, for our users as a communication tool to share ideas. Over the years the user forum was never highly used by our user community for this purpose. Primarily users have only used this forum to stay in contact with Weberz to get the latest news and happenings when a server outage has occurred. Due to this we have always kept the forum hosted on servers outside of our data center so it could be utilized for such a purpose. Unfortunately over the past few months the …

New Offsite NS3 Name Server! Resellers should update NS Records.

Posted Monday, March 15, 2010 by

Late last week we made some changes to our domain name servers to eliminate some issues that certain resellers were having resolving some of their server alias names. During the process of rebuilding these servers we also moved the NS3 server to a new IP address at an offsite location. This will allow DNS lookups to continue resolving in the event of a data center wide outage helping eliminate extended downtimes due to bad DNS resolutions during the outage. Lately making these changes will also keep mail flowing for all of our customers who are using external mail servers during …

Weberz Hosting has currently been experieicning website traffic latency that has been caused by the LINUX.UK web server in the Portland Data Center. Posted Tuesday, June 23, 2009 by

Recently I have been writing more about SEO and SEO related topics. Well today I realized that some of our less advanced readers might not know or understand what SEO is and how it works. Every webmaster should know at least the basics of SEO and SEM since they can be the decision maker on whether a site thrives or dies on the net. The problem when writing about SEO and SEM is that too many users out there have their own definition of these two terms and what exactly falls under each one. So here I will explain what …

Comment Link Manager 1.0 WP Plugin Released

Posted Thursday, June 18, 2009 by

Weberz is pleased to announce the release of our first WordPress plugin, Comment Link Manager. While trying to find solutions to the problems introduced by PageRank sculpting no longer working and the nofollow tag being worthless, we decided to create the comment link manager plugin. The idea was to design a WordPress plugin that allowed admins to disable comment author links until that user has posted an admin specified number of comments. This can help encourage users to comment more by rewarding them with links from your blog.…

PageRank Scultping Doesn’t Work and NoFollow is Worthless

Posted Thursday, June 18, 2009 by

A few weeks ago at SMX Advanced, Matt Cutts made a comment during a Q&A session that seemed to shock the SEO industry. The comment Matt made was that link juice that is assigned to a nofollow’ed link by Google evaporates instead of being reassigned to links that don’t contain the nofollow attribute. Well after many speculating blog posts were made by SEOs trying to understand the comment, Matt decided to post a clarifying post on his blog about page rank sculpting.…
