Weberz Servers are housed at a private operations center in Portland, Oregon USA. The facility contains everything needed to ensure your mission-critical Internet operation is functioning at the highest performance levels. NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTER FEATURES

Environment
Controlled air conditioning systems protect and cool mission-critical servers and equipment in the Network Operations Center. This system provides a safe and heat controlled area for our servers to ensure system overheating is not an issue.

Security
Restricted access to the Operations Center is monitored by qualified personnel and 24/7 monitoring coverage by closed curcuit camera systems. The entire Network Operations Center is monitored, ensuring prompt response and thorough coverage to fire or security alarms. Physical security is also a priority at the network operations center. Every authorized member of the personnel is provided with a unique pin code for entering the building as well as key card access to the server area.

Failsafe Power Supply
Our Operations Center currently has AC power currently available from Portland General Electric. Multiple power feeds are provided to the building from seperate power grids to help reduce the chances of a power outage. In a very rare case of utility outage, onsite UPS battery backup systems are used to supply the equipment with power until one of seven backup generators are started. Each of the backup generators are controlled via automatic switching causing them to start as soon as the utilities power goes offline. Two of the seven available generators are enough to power all of the equipment in the network operations center, the other five available generators are provided as backups with automatic failovers. Each generator is tested on a weekly basis by qualified staff.

Backup Systems
Weberz automatically provides backup data services to all shared hosting solutions clientele. Services are also optionally available to all dedicated clientele. Weberz utilizes separate backup servers to store backups. The data is transferred to the backup servers using a private backup network to ensure system backups do not interfere with normal operations. Off-site backup services are available as well.

System Monitoring
The Network Operations Center uses industry-standard SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) and provides round-the-clock monitoring of all hardware, including routers, switches, and servers. The Operations Center staff also monitors power, environmental factors (such as temperature), generator status, and network connectivity. All critical services/ports are monitored, including FTP, HTTP, SMTP, HTTPS, SSH, and POP3. We provide network monitoring of the Local Area Network, Internet connectivity (all routers, switches, and wiring), and the Internet backbone via MRTG.
