How do I setup my email on my Windows Mobile 7 tablet or phone?
Microsoft Windows Mobile 7 based devices are able to connect to your Weberz Hosting email accounts. This allows you to check your email and stay in contact with others while on the go. The email configuration settings for Windows Mobile 7 are very similar to setting up your email on your PC.
- On Start, flick left to get to the Applications list and then click Settings. Click Email + accounts.
- Tap Add an Account > Other Account.
- Tap the email address box and type in your full email address.
- Tap the password box and then type in your password.
- Tap Sign In.
- Your phone will attempt to autodetect your server settings. After a period of time the phone will say give you a prompt asking you to verify your settings or the option to Tap Advanced Setup.
- Tap Advanced Setup.
- Tap Internet Mail Account.
- Type a descriptive name for the Account Name. This allows you to identify the account easily.
- Type your name as you wish to have it displayed in your messages in the Your Name field.
- In the Incoming Mail Server section, type your mail server as it is displayed in the Email section of your Weberz control Panel. Usually this is in the form of mail.yourdomainname.com
- On Account Type, tap IMAP.
Pop3 is also available, but IMAP will allow you to leave the messages on the server to download with your PC. - Type your full email address as your username in the username section.
- Type your password in the password section.
- In outgoing mail server, type in your mail server name. This will be the same name you used for your incoming mail server, usually in the format of mail.yourdomainname.com.
- Check “Outgoing Server Requires Authentication”.
- Check “Use the same username and password for sending email”.
- Tap Sign in.
Your email account should now be setup on your Windows Mobile 7 device. In the next few minutes your phone or tablet should connect to the Weberz Hosting email server and begin downloading your email.
